Our first urban retreat took place on a weekend in November in a gorgeous Brooklyn brownstone. The weekend included Vedic Meditation, pranayama, fitness, a mind/body connection discussion, holistic beauty, and healthy cooking tips and demonstrations. Guests were nourished with delicious vegetarian fare and provided with an evening self-care take-home package.

Ready for uplift 001
The Uplift Project 001- a weekend retreat aimed at people seeking to revitalize, create balance and adapt restorative practices. Through a series of talks and experiences that combine ancient wisdom with modern knowledge, this event focused on sharing knowledge and practices from the nutrition, meditation, and health and wellness perspectives.
Our experts included Vedic Meditation initiator and author of The Inner Gym, Light Watkins; author of the James Beard award-winning cookbook, At Home in the Whole Food Kitchen: Celebrating the Art of Eating Well, Amy Chaplin; founder of fitness-catharsis method, The Class, Taryn Toomey (off-site); mind-body & yoga expert and founder of Katonah Yoga, Nevine Michaan; life coach and yoga instructor, Jillian Turecki; and natural beauty expert and herbalist, Jessa Blades. We came together to educate, share and inspire guests with knowledge on how to integrate healthy and conscious living into a modern lifestyle.
